Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, meet and greet. Road transfer to Masai Mara.
Morning meet at your hotel residence in Nairobi and after safari briefing drive through the Great Rift Valley with a stopover at the viewpoint for a stretch and some photos, proceed to arrive at the camp for check-in and hot lunch. After a brief leisure, enjoy the afternoon game drive in the vast Reserve. Dinner followed by overnight.
Day 2: Full day game viewing in Masai Mara.
One day at Masai Mara is not enough. You will be glad you have this second day to enjoy this
part of Kenya. While any time of year is wonderful to visit Africa, those who visit between July
and October will see the Great Migration, when zebras, Thomson’s gazelles and wildebeests
travel across the Serengeti – it is a massive migration and is truly awe-inspiring.
No matter when
you visit, you will also have a chance to take a “walking safari”, or visit a local tribal village if you
wish. You will learn about the Masai way of life and how they have managed to retain their
semi-nomadic customs even in today’s modern world, when so much of their world is at risk. After all these adventures, you will be
more than ready for a mid-day nap or laze on the veranda to escape the heat of the day.
Day 03: Road transfer to Isebania border. Proceed to Serengeti National Park.
Today is an early wake-up. Enjoy your breakfast then depart from Masai Mara to the Isebania border. You will arrive at the Kenya-Tanzania border in time for a hot lunch. At this point, if you did not have an entry visa, you can fill it at the border with assistance from our guide. After lunch and clearance formalities, your guide at Kenya side, will handover you to our Tanzania guide to proceed with him at Tanzania side safari. Leave the Isebania border to Serengeti to arrive in the late afternoon with a game drive on the way to your lodge. Dinner and Overnight at the lodge.
Day 04: Game viewing in Serengeti.
Have breakfast then depart for a full-day game drive carrying parked lunch with you. You will marvel at what Serengeti has to offer regarding wild game hence famously known as the World’s largest wildlife sanctuary. Serengeti National park has beautiful views of the endless plains with over 500 recorded bird species. The park is home to the big seven including; lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, cheetah, rhino, and African hunting dog. The Serengeti stretches 14,763 (5,700 sq miles) stretching North to Kenya and bordering Lake Victoria to the West.
Serengeti has the highest concentration of large mammals on this planet and it's famously known for its 2,500 Lions the largest concentration found anywhere. The park also has over 518 identified bird species where some of them are Eurasian migrants who are present in the European winter months from October to April. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 05: Game viewing as you head to Ndutu area (Southern Serengeti).
After breakfast head to Ndutu Region, situated in Ngorongoro conservation area a sublime landscape of the southern Serengeti ecosystem. Arrive in time for lunch and check in. Later undertake your afternoon game viewing drive. The area is heavily populated with elephants, giraffes and over 400 bird species and a plethora of other resident game. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 06: Full day game drive in Ndutu Area.
Today you get another chance to view the beautiful wildlife spectacle at Ndutu. Depart with your lunch boxes for a full day game drive around 8:00 AM and return to the lodge late afternoon around 5:30 PM. Or you can depart after breakfast at 6:20 AM on an early morning game drive. Later return to accommodation around 10:30 AM to relax for a bit and after a hot lunch at the accommodation, depart at 3:00 PM for afternoon game drives and return by 6:00 PM. Ensure you get some good rest and recharge yourself for another eventful day.
Day 07: Road transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Enjoy your final morning breakfast at Ndutu area. Refresh and check-out of the lodge to depart to Ngorongoro Crater. You will arrive at Ngorongoro Crater in time for lunch at your lodge. After lunch, embark for an afternoon game drive on these landscapes that range from dense mountain forests and woodlands to grasslands, lakes, and swamps. Huge herds of ungulates dominate the crater floor with zebras, wildebeests, elands, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelles being the species most commonly seen. But the crater is also home to the “big five” and elephants, lions and buffaloes are often spotted. The almost extinct black rhino can also be found in the crate and sightings aren’t rare either. Serval cats, spotted hyenas and jackals are also often seen while cheetahs are more difficult to spot. Later in the evening, return to your lodge/camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 08: Full day game viewing in Ngorongoro Crater.
Today we shall pack a picnic lunch and spend the day within the crater. There are around 30,000 large animals within the crater, so you are bound to see lots of wildlife: large herds of wildebeest, antelope and zebras roam the landscape, often being pursued by hyenas, cheetahs or lions. The lake inside the crater is home to numerous colorful bird species, and you can see hippos lounging in the water. Every so often, visitors see impressive bull elephants passing through the crater area in search of water, though herds with cows and calves are rare. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 09: Road Transfer to Lake Manyara. Afternoon game viewing.
After breakfast proceed to the Lake Manyara with a stop at the local market of Karatu. Game and bird watching drives at the Lake Manyara. We may see the famous tree climbing lions unique to this park. En-route game viewing as you head to the lodge arriving in time for check in and hot lunch. Later proceed for an evening game viewing. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Road Transfer to Amboseli National park via Namanga Boarder.
Proceed to the Amboseli national park. Border crossing and immigration formalities at the Namanga border town. Afternoon game viewing drive at the Amboseli National park with views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Amboseli is an international biosphere nature reserve featuring dried-out lake bed, rolling savannah and lush green swamps. Amboseli hosts various animal species including the Elephant, Antelope, Spotted Hyena, Jackal, Warthog, Olive baboon, Vervet monkey. The observation hill at Amboseli National park is easily climbed and offers stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Day 11: Game viewing at Amboseli.
You will be glad to have another two days at Amboseli National Park as the morning and afternoon game drives offer completely different experiences. The park is home to more than 400 bird species as well as wildebeests, zebras, white rhinos and other wildlife – there is no telling what you will see. Every hour of the day is different, and every season of the year is different, which means that every game drive is different, so be sure to have your cameras prepped and ready for some stunning photos and videos in both the morning and afternoon. At mid-day, when the heat drives all of East Africa into the shade, you can lounge in the pool, take a siesta in your comfortable room or meet fellow travelers for a refreshing drink at the bar. An optional visit to a tribal village or a walking safari is available.
Day 12 : Departure.
A day that seemed a long way off has come much too soon. Business, work and home await and it is time to return to that other world and bid your travel companions goodbye. After breakfast, drive to Nairobi arriving in time for your outbound flight home, carrying a lifetime of memories from your African Safari with you.
